Hotel Maksimum

The room felt top class for a fair price, and the hotel is in a beautiful location, only 18 minutes from the airport. It’s a cute place with a tiny entrance and really friendly counter staff. Check-in was quick, and I was shown to the fifth floor. There seem to be two rooms per floor, which keeps things lovely and quiet. The ceiling shapes make the room feel like an architectural work of art. There’s a kitchenette with what you need to cook and prepare food, plus a balcony where you can enjoy a drink. The bedroom is large and has a huge two-person spa bath that was amazing for a warm soak. The balcony has smoking facilities and looks out over nearby homes and buildings. Shops are close by, with grocery stores and pharmacies across the road and within walking distance. A Lidl is about 8 minutes away. A real gem for a restful stay in Belgrade.

The rooms are cleaned and looked after every day, and the staff are very friendly. A good choice for a short or long stay, you’ll feel welcome and at home.

We stayed for more than 10 days and would happily return. The apartments were spacious and very clean, with daily room cleaning. The hotel has parking and sits in a lively, pleasant area near the city centre, yet it stays very quiet at night. Breakfast was great, and the hotel restaurant is very good too, with food available whenever. The staff are all lovely and ready to help with anything. The price for this level of service is spectacular. I’d give it more than 4 stars! My only suggestion is to make it dog friendly. :)

We loved our week in Belgrade, and Marijana and Ana were especially pleasant, helpful, and professional. We’d been a bit worried about the location after looking at the map, but there are plenty of buses to the City Centre and other places. Staying in an authentic local area was lovely. A week-long public transport ticket costs only £5. There’s a small supermarket opposite the hotel, another about 50 metres away, and a Lidl around 8 minutes away. We also enjoyed a small restaurant a 5 minute walk away. Belgrade is amazing, with lots of places for day trips.
