We were only there for one night before an early flight, and couldn't get out fast enough. I don't understand any review above one star, because this place makes Motel 6 seem like a viable option. The area felt totally ghetto, with graffiti everywhere and what looked like abandoned buildings. When our cab dropped us off, the entrance wasn't even visible, and I thought he'd brought us there to rob us. There's no elevator, and the fit and finish is below builder grade. The baseboards were just carpet glued up the wall. Our bed had a four-inch mattress or futon on a tiny pedestal, so it felt like falling down into it. The shower badly needed remodeling and was clearly leaking, judging by the globs of white caulk in the corners and around the shower pan. Hard to believe the same company owns this hotel and Palic Resort, which was an outstanding five-star experience and the only reason we booked Passport.

The rooms were okay, and the people were friendly. There are lots of little shops around. The area looks much like the Soviet Union in the 90s, and doesn't look good, especially late in the evening.

The free parking lot outside is very large, and we had no trouble finding a spot. Staff were kind and considerate, and the clean rooms were nicely decorated. We noticed a few small signs of damage, but nothing that bothered us much. Breakfast was okay, though the choices were limited, and we were also served tea. Room service prices were reasonable. Very good value for money.

It's cozy, the people are friendly, and I loved staying here. Highly recommend it. The highway is close, there's a huge free parking area nearby, and several malls around make it a great stop if you're travelling by.

Avoid this place. Customer service is nonexistent. Their free cancellation is a scam: even when you follow all the rules, they won't honor their own terms and conditions. If you email them about anything other than a booking, they won't reply. Don't book.
