Side One Design Hotel

A good deal, with great service and nice equipment, including air conditioning, a large flat-screen TV, and a refrigerator. The shower cabin is a bit small. If you’re traveling without a car, it’s a handy spot, with a bus stop around the corner and public parking available.

The room was clean and well equipped, and the location was excellent. It felt a little cramped where we stayed, though, and the soundproofing wasn’t great. Breakfast was pretty average. Nothing wow, but not the worst place I’ve stayed. Fine for a city break.

Very clean hotel, good prices, and there’s a lovely little cat by reception. My one complaint is the stairs: hauling a suitcase or two up and down them gets old. An elevator would make it easier for visitors.

I stayed at side one design hotel in Belgrade from 21 August to 5 September 2021, and I was very disappointed. The room wasn’t cleaned regularly. If I had to push the cleaning lady to come after three days, she got angry. Once I asked her to clean the bathroom and she immediately used my bath towel to do it. I was shocked. The waste wasn’t taken away even once during my stay. The cot was damaged, the shower room was tiny, and there’s no elevator even though the hotel has three floors. Wi-Fi didn’t work on the second floor, and I couldn’t even make WhatsApp calls. Breakfast was okay, but the cooking lady didn’t seem to want us to eat because she didn’t want the extra work. At checkout she argued with us about eating the food. The reception staff were responsive, but that was the only good thing. I felt Serbians judged people by color and didn’t like Asians, especially Indians. A total waste of money. Think very carefully before booking.
