Hotel Albo

I liked the view and how peaceful it was. It’s close enough to the main street, and you can walk to every part of the city. I stayed for five days and had a pleasant stay, especially for a three-star hotel.

The rooms are really nice and kept very clean, with staff coming in every day to clean. The staff were the friendliest I’ve met, and the food was delicious. They can also make something custom if you’d rather have a different meal. But if you’re here for work, expect that you might not sleep. There are parties every night, with no set schedule, and the music goes on very late. That took my experience from awesome down to 1.5/10. I’d give it two stars, but the lovely staff and rooms are the reason I’m giving it that.

We picked the hotel for our meeting, but the restaurant wasn’t open on Friday. Next time, I hope it’s operating as usual. I also had a bite from a large insect and a very bad allergic reaction, so I went to the hospital. The hotel had nothing to help us and didn’t respond at all to the problem.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Albo about 2-3 times a year since it opened, and I’ve never had a bad or even an average experience. It’s clean, well appointed, and the restaurant food is great. The staff are professional and friendly, from the courteous restaurant team to the cheerful reception staff who are always ready to help. I don’t speak Serbian, but that’s never been an issue because the reception staff speak very good English. The only time it’s been less comfortable for me is when there’s a local event, like a wedding or office party. It can get a bit too noisy or smoky for my taste, so I’ve eaten elsewhere then. That’s just part of the hotel being a popular venue for events. I have no hesitation recommending Hotel Albo as a great place to stay.
