Hotel Royal Mountain

The room was the best part. We stayed in a good premium room with a jacuzzi, and the accommodation itself was excellent. The hotel is beside the road, but traffic is light enough that it wasn't disturbing. The location is okay, and overall it's a decent hotel in Divčibare. The spa needs more attention. It's extremely small, the pool is shallow and only about 1.4 meters deep, and hygiene was poor, with dust under the loungers and visible dirt in the water. There are only four tepidariums and just two were working. Spa staff were often nowhere to be found, and towels weren't brought when needed, though they would suddenly appear when they weren't needed. Massages can be booked, but appointments are always full. For the price, the accommodation doesn't feel justified, even with the hotel's four stars. You could find a much better hotel, especially in Serbia. Parking is available in a large enough space, but it's unpaved, basically a rough lot. Reception staff were extremely unfriendly. The waiters and other service staff were nice and polite, and obviously foreigners rather than Serbs. Breakfast was satisfactory, no more than that, with desserts included. Dinner was better and also satisfactory. The cakes were very alike, mostly whipped cream with no other texture, and one was extremely simple. The ventilation is poor and cigarette smoke gets into the hallways. The elevator is tiny and cramped. If you want a quiet four-star hotel and can afford it, this might do.

There's a solid, practical stay at Hotel Royal Mountain, with a consistent look and the basics handled. But the experience doesn't go beyond what you'd expect. Nothing feels personal or distinctive, and nothing really stays with you afterward. More attention to small details and a warmer, more personal approach could make the hotel much more memorable.

The hotel's in a handy spot, with lots of attractions within easy reach. Our room was clean and cozy, the bed was comfortable, and it stayed quiet at night so we slept well. Breakfast had a good selection and tasted fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

We were upgraded from the standard room we had booked, and the room was cozy and spotless. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the massages were amazing. Staff were kind and always ready to help. They also arranged early check-in and late checkout, which made things even easier. The Wi-Fi was the one small downside, but it didn't affect our stay. Highly recommend!
