Hotel Podrinje

We had a lovely outlook over the park, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. The team were warm and accommodating throughout our stay. The hotel has been restored beautifully, with spacious, comfortable rooms and tasteful decor throughout. The spa area is on the small side, but booking a time in advance kept it from getting crowded.

The massage from Mrs. Maja was the best I've had in Serbia, and the location in this charming royal spa town is beautiful. Dining, though, was a huge letdown for a place once known for excellent cuisine. The current chef seems inexperienced, and the meals have been awful every time: they take ages to arrive, then taste bland and not fresh, with no care in how they're prepared. Nothing feels worth the price. I feel for the waitstaff, who have to apologize for food that isn't their fault. I strongly advise avoiding the restaurant.

The Chinese restaurant is amazing, the star of Banja Koviljaca. Hotel Podrinje and its director Winnie Y went beyond what we expected. Highly recommend!

The coffee area outside was the worst atmosphere I've ever encountered, even if the hotel itself might be nice. The coffee was weak, and loud bass-heavy music was playing in the morning. Tables were left uncleared and dirty, with food scattered on them and on the floor alongside cigarette butts. The waiters seemed inexperienced, spilled coffee, and didn't say thank you. It was hot under the umbrellas, and the toilets were horrible, with urine everywhere.
