Set in a lovely landscape, this is an old communist style hotel that’s been updated very well. The service was good, even though the staff didn’t seem very used to foreigners. They did their best to make me happy, and the breakfast included with Booking.com was huge!

The restaurant serves great food, with great service, and breakfast was enough for four people. My room was spacious, with AC, a TV, and a huge balcony of about 100m2 overlooking the mines. The hotel is old, and it shows, but it’s very, very clean and well maintained. The employees are genuinely friendly and clearly do their best to make the place nice. All in all, a great experience.

I got there late at night after reception had closed, but a very friendly blonde lady still let me in. When I went to pay the next morning, Gordana at reception was the friendliest hotel worker I’ve ever met. She quickly got me breakfast and settled the bill. Receptionists like Gordana should be the standard. I can definitely recommend this place.

The downstairs lounge and cafe are busy much of the time and seem popular with locals. Breakfast is brought to you rather than served as a buffet, and there’s enough for six people. The food is okay, though it takes getting used to sitting alone in the dining room. It’s a good hotel, all things considered, and the staff are trying to improve it. It’s also the only hotel in the vicinity. The building is quite old and the rooms show their age, but they try to keep them clean and maintained.

The food is delicious and inexpensive, and the staff are more than polite. Rooms are clean and tidy, and the service is fine. A lovely hotel for a weekend in nature, with warm hospitality.
