Bosphorus Kale

Fine for a night while passing through, but I wouldn’t stay longer. The owners seem to make money from the handy spot near the highway, and the place is showing its age. There were bird nests on the balcony and bird droppings, the sink edges were chipped, and the toilet brush was filthy with hair on it. Dust covered the shelf by the mirror, and the room fridge was moldy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The elevator was out of order, and staff didn’t warn us. Food is sold buffet-style now, but the prices felt like a rip-off: €1 for a cup of tea and €3 for a plate of pilaf. They didn’t provide receipts or invoices. We paid cash, weren’t asked for ID or bank details, and got no invoice for the room either. Room prices seemed arbitrary. They told us, “We only have one room left, it costs €130.” Then five more families showed up, and apparently each was told there was only one room left too. They seem to take advantage of tired travelers passing through.

I’m of Turkish descent and German, and I’m really glad this hotel is here. It’s lovely to be able to lie down and relax. The staff are very friendly, breakfast comes with the stay, and the price is okay. ♥️❤️♥️🇹🇷🇹🇷👍👍👍👍

The rooms were clean, so no complaints there. The staff didn’t speak Turkish very well and definitely didn’t speak German. The accommodation itself was fine, but parking worried me. Unlike at a larger hotel, there’s no security, and during my 2022 stay I kept checking on my car.

Fine for a night on the way through, with breakfast included and acceptable cleanliness. But it doesn’t really feel like a hotel. An employee said that when the main hotel is full, they send people here. You get a room with a shower.
