The owners had taken over the hostel about a year earlier and were still upgrading it. It's already a great place to stay, and it seems like it'll get even better. They're a really nice, cool couple from a nearby town, and they were around during our stay. We were there for two nights in May 2014, my husband and I in our thirties, and would happily stay again. The location is awesome, right in the heart of Novi Sad and within walking distance of pretty much everything you'd want or need. The staff were super friendly and helpful, with suggestions for things to see and do, places to eat, and transport. The beds were comfy, and the WiFi was strong and password protected. I'd recommend it.

The hostel and its bed linen were clean, and the guys working there were very kind and always ready to help. The only downside was an unpleasant smell from some kitchen on the ground floor. You could smell it when entering or leaving the building.

For now, this is the best hostel I've seen anywhere in Europe. It's affordable and spotless, and the location beside the historic center is ideal. The rooms feel more like a hotel, too, and they're really comfortable.
