Smile apARTment

The terrace was a highlight, with a lovely view over the Danube, the fortress, and Danube Park. The apartment is on the fourth floor of a centrally located building in a quiet residential area, and both downtown and the riverside promenade are only a few minutes away on foot. There’s no elevator, so getting up the 95 steps is quite a workout! Private parking is available in the courtyard and isn’t open to the public. We contacted the owners on WhatsApp and got detailed directions for the key box and other things. Inside, the apartment was tastefully furnished, clean, and very well equipped. The bed was comfortable, with a spring mattress and memory foam pillows. There was an iron and ironing board, toaster, and kettle. We knew ahead of time there wasn’t a coffee maker. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and toilet, but the sink is rather small. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi both worked perfectly. We did miss having a wardrobe or somewhere to put our clothes, so we lived out of our suitcases for four nights, though that wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was included at Pizzeria La Forza in the town center, near the Catholic church, about a 10-minute walk away. Drinks cost extra, and we only ate breakfast there once because of our schedule. We felt very comfortable and will definitely return.
