Vila Madams

I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation if you need a secure booking. We arrived in town early and went over before the room reservation time to ask if an earlier check-in was possible. A woman came out after I rang the bell. She spoke only Serbian, so we used a translator; with some difficulty, she wrote that it was 1:30 p.m. We said okay, went out, and returned around 6. I rang the bell several times, but nobody came. After half an hour, the same woman arrived by car and shouted at us in Serbian, which we couldn’t understand. I connected to the Wi-Fi, and using a translator, she told me our reservation had been canceled and the rooms given to someone else. This place deserves a zero-point rating.

The rooms were clean, and the host was very friendly, even recommending some Serbian fast food customs. The nearby lakes are beautiful, with swans and even tortoises, though there were a couple of mosquitoes. Some small dogs were running loose, but they weren’t dangerous. There are also lots of angry guard dogs in the neighborhood. Our balcony had a couple of floor tiles that looked close to falling, and the air conditioner seemed quite weak.

The price and quality are a good match. Just be aware that the pool pictures are from another location.

Super comfortable room, great location, and excellent staff.
