Guesthouse & restaurant Tekovina

The staff and other customers were brilliant, and we got along really well. The owner and his daughter are Liverpool fans like me, and they had the Liverpool FC match on, which made the evening. I arrived when it was very dark, so I marked the location down, but after that it couldn’t have been better.

For an overnight stop, the restaurant was fantastic and the food was perfect. The room, though, was dusty and musty, including all the toiletries, towels and bedding. It was fine for a night while passing through. The location is okay, not too far from the highway but too far from the city for a nighttime wander. You don’t hear traffic, since the rooms are set back from the main road.

There was far too much amazing food to finish, and the waiter still recognized me after six years.

We stopped here for one night on the way to Montenegro, and we’re glad we did. The rooms we were offered were spacious and clean, and the place looked modern and well cared for. The restaurant’s outdoor area was nice too, and the staff were polite, except for the grumpy guy serving coffee at 7 am, who didn’t seem happy to be there. Good value for a night.
