Sokobanja itself is highly recommended, but the stay involved a lot of unprofessionalism and self-interest. The owner first tried to put us in a makeshift bar in what he called an “apartment complex,” though it had no apartments, only bars. After we complained, he gave us an apartment for three days, which we were happy with, but then tried to charge a higher price. We booked one more day and were moved to an apartment on Sportska Street, where the cistern and shower faucet didn’t work, so we couldn’t shower.

Our room was clean and tidy, though a little cramped for two. It had been converted from a garage. There are bigger apartments upstairs. The place is fairly close to the center. It’s shady in the morning, then the afternoon sun gets hot.

The hosts were warm and very kind. The accommodation is quite suitable for a family.
