Sunce Hotel

The meals were a real highlight. Breakfast and dinner had lots of variety, and everything was fresh and well prepared. The staff were kind, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. Getting around with our 8-month-old was harder than we expected. There’s no lift, and the hotel isn’t stroller-friendly. Since we stayed in the new part, we also had to walk through the hotel gallery’s smoking area whenever we went to the spa or restaurant. The smoke smell was strong and uncomfortable, especially with a baby. The kids’ playground could be cleaner too. There was noticeable hair on the mats, and the two girls working there had long hair, which made the space feel less hygienic for children.

The service and hospitality were excellent. I was bothered most by the bad smell in the outside air. The spa area could also be easier to reach, and the bathroom sink is too high for kids. The food could taste a bit better.

I go there often, and it’s one of the better hotels in Serbia. The pools are clean, warm, and great for families, and the service is great too. Standard rooms feel a bit small, though, and the food can vary when the chefs change. In the spa, the only option for kids is the salt room, with no jacuzzi or other saunas for them.

The spa was fantastic. We tried the sports massage and would recommend it. We also enjoyed the live music and great cocktails in the lobby bar, and the rooms were comfortable. The staff were super polite, and half-board came with tasty dishes, cheeses, and diet options for people sensitive to sugar or gluten. We’ve stayed at Sunce Hotel Sokobanja before and were happy to return. It feels like a second home, only with better cocktails.
