I stayed at Sunflower Apartments for seven months and had a valid contract throughout. My rent was 270e until, after those seven months, the landlady messaged that it would rise to 350e. I gave notice on time that I was leaving and wouldn't stay the following month. When I moved in, I'd paid a 30,000 RSD deposit. I asked the landlady to inspect the apartment and return it, less the current month's bills, but she replied that the deposit couldn't be refunded if a tenant cancels. I was stunned. I then contacted her mother, the apartment owner. She came the next day and returned the money as agreed. During my stay there were many unpleasant incidents. The landlady would bang on the apartment door and shout for us to open it, and I had no privacy. Her dog would come into the apartment where I lived and defecate in the middle of it. I want to warn anyone thinking of staying there to be careful. Afterward, I was blocked from the numbers.

Two units are rented monthly and two for daily stays through Booking. We paid 270e, and the price hadn't changed during that time, but after seven months we were told the rent would go up to 350e. We gave notice on time and decided to leave. At move-in, we had paid a 30,000 RSD deposit. On our final day, we asked for an inspection and the deposit back. The apartment had been scrubbed, cleaned, and tidied, so we were stunned when told the deposit wouldn't be returned if the tenant canceled. Fortunately, we'd made all payments to an account in her mother's name. Her mother turned out to be fair and reasonable: she inspected the apartment and returned our money. We called her to try to settle things amicably, since in a lawsuit we'd have to charge her. We've rented for many years and have never experienced anything like this. It seems like an unprecedented situation. I want to warn prospective tenants not to make an arrangement with the person in question, but with her mother, whom I found honest and reasonable. After this, the landlady blocked us so we couldn't contact her.

We had a great time lighting the tiled wood stove, which was available upon request. The two-bedroom apartment is spacious, comfortable, and very clean, with super comfortable beds. The owners were kind and helpful. Highly recommended!
