We picked this hotel for its art, and the paintings made the stay especially enjoyable. The hotel is right in the center and close to the train station. Slava and I stayed in a modern, comfortable room with a double bed. Wi-Fi worked well on most days, and breakfast was included, with fresh local products that we really enjoyed. There’s also a vineyard where guests can go for a tasting. We spent our free time at the spa, though we didn’t have a massage since that treatment needed to be booked. Rooms are in short supply, so book well ahead. We hoped to visit this weekend, but everything was occupied, and my grandmother is planning to return in a month but still can’t find a room. If you do manage to book, there are beautiful paintings, tasty breakfast, a good spa, and a central location at a great price.

We arranged a group stay at Hotel Artist recently, and it was a 12/10 experience. There’s fascinating art throughout the hotel, with new details to spot in every corner. The staff were lovely and so helpful, whether we were emailing or speaking in person. Thanks for a wonderful week and such a warm welcome!

Our guests from abroad and I left disappointed after a really bad dinner experience. We’d booked a month in advance at the wine basement and were told by the person handling reservations that arriving around 6:30 would leave plenty of time for a full meal, even though the kitchen worked until 8 pm. The reservation was until 22 pm. On arrival, an impolite waiter accused us of being late and hurried us to order, saying the kitchen closed at 7:30 pm, despite the menus stating 8 pm. We rushed through the main course, then were refused dessert. After 20 pm, the waiter wouldn’t serve us anything else, even though our booking ran until 22 pm. The manager had promised a good experience, but that didn’t happen. 1/10.

In the center of Subotica, this lovely Art Hotel has paintings and sculptures throughout its halls, corridors, and restaurant. There’s also a wine cellar, plus hot and steam saunas.
