Eco Hostel Republik

Marko runs a city tour of Uzice that’s both funny and informative, and it’s well worth going on. The day trips are worth considering too. I joined the one to Mokra gora, Kadinjaca, Drvengrad, and had a great time. The hostel’s decorated in an ex-Yugoslavia and Uzicka Republic style, and it’s eco-friendly. Everyone working there was fantastic and did a lot to make my stay in Uzice a good one. Great place, I’d definitely recommend it.

After the awful hostel I’d just had in Belgrade, this place felt fantastic. The dorms have big lockers and lockable doors, so I felt safe. It was clean, and the staff and volunteers were all really pleasant. I also signed up for the Mokra Gora tour. Since it was off-season, they gave me 10% off, which was a nice surprise. The trip itself was the best part of my time in Serbia and Montenegro. I did have trouble buying a T-shirt. The gift shop display in the common room showed some, but they didn’t have the size or colors pinned up. When I asked for postcards, staff weren’t sure where they were kept either. They should keep the displayed items in stock and make sure staff know where to find them. I still had a really good time here. Thanks!

We paid 2800 Serbian Dinars for two people, with breakfast included. The linens and mattresses were in very good condition, and the place felt comfortable and welcoming. It’s a cozy motel with good facilities.

The staff were cool and arrange day trips around the area. There are plenty of showers, outdoor spaces to hang out, and a good breakfast. The hostel was extremely clean too. Might be the best one I’ve stayed at.
