Villa As

Great.

We spent seven days at Villa AS and had a great time. The location is lovely, peaceful and quiet, and the villa itself is clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. It's an ideal place to relax. We'd happily recommend it and will definitely return.

The garden at this small hotel is very nice, and the staff are helpful. It has ten rooms, a buffet, and a pleasant restaurant where you can arrange lunch and dinner menus. The location is great, above Merkur. The rooms are decent, what I'd call good middle class.

The waiters and cleaning staff were professional and courteous, and the location is quiet, about 400m from the promenade, though the approach is uphill. The rooms were clean and tidy, but small. Our double room was barely eight square metres, there was no terrace, and making coffee in the room was forbidden. The food was disappointing. Breakfast was the same every morning, with a buffet of fried and boiled eggs, hot dogs, fried sausages, žu žu pastries, toast, and yogurt and milk from pitchers. The buffet was reheated in a fridge. Lunch was cheap catering; one of the two pictured dishes was goulash with pasta, which was awful, to put it mildly. Dinner was light, almost hospital food. The owner or manager was arrogant and rude. During breakfast, he stood over you and watched what and how much you took. My rating is three. I recommend avoiding it, and it's not cheap.
