Mona Plaza Zlatibor

The location is superb and the staff are great. The parking area hadn’t been cleared of snow, and the main pool was colder than expected. One elevator was out of order for days in mid-season, which made getting to and from the rooms difficult.

We only learned at checkout that parking wasn’t free, which cost the hotel some stars. They said we couldn’t use the official hotel parking, so we parked behind the hotel and were charged. That felt very unprofessional.

A very disappointing stay. I arrived at 10 PM and explained that I needed a room for my wife, our 4-year-old child, and me, with our child sharing our bed. The receptionist first said there were no rooms, then offered one after we talked. It was dirty, the bathroom had been used, and the towels were wet and untidy. After I complained, he apologized and offered an apartment for the same price. But when I came back with my family, he raised the price, saying he “didn’t know” about the child, even though I’d explained it from the start. Very poor service and unprofessional, dishonest behavior.

The hotel was very good, and the room was always clean. Both breakfast and dinner were very good too. Nothing to complain about.
