The rooms seemed comfortable, with spacious suites and smaller studios, modern conveniences, and city views. The lobby and contemporary design, with local artwork and bright touches, felt welcoming, and the hotel presents itself as a mix of modern comfort and Rwandan warmth. It also says it supports sustainability and the local community through eco friendly practices, local artisans and entrepreneurs, and community projects. The whole place is described as a home away from home, with a polished, personalized approach to hospitality.

Everything was fine until, a day before I was supposed to move, I was told to switch to a smaller apartment because she had another customer. On the day itself, someone knocked and woke me up, saying I had to move immediately or the smaller place would no longer be available. I decided to go back to sleep, use the one paid day I had left, and then leave. Very disappointing service.

The restaurant was good, but the hotel room door lock didn’t work, and the interior felt old and almost horror-like. The staff didn’t seem professional. When I raised the poor service with the owner, he just started laughing, which came across as selfish.

I spent about seven hours there in quarantine while waiting for my Covid 19 test result after arriving in Kigali. The staff looked after me really well and even helped me find out the result when it was delayed. I appreciated that a lot.
