The restaurant made breakfast a highlight each morning, with fresh local and international dishes and staff happy to accommodate my preferences. My room was spacious and comfortable, with lovely city views and everything from Wi-Fi to room service working well. The hotel was clean and elegantly decorated, and the staff welcomed me warmly. Check-in was quick, and they kept the room comfortable and tidy throughout my stay. It all made for a memorable visit to Rwanda, and I’d happily recommend the hotel to people coming to Kigali for work or a holiday.

I got food poisoning after eating at the hotel, and the service was poor despite the very high charges. I was also billed twice, with extra fees the receptionist couldn’t clearly explain. One of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. I’d tell others to stay somewhere else.

After two nights here in September, I wouldn’t recommend staying. The rest of the hotel feels worn and dated, and my very basic room had a sewage smell. The shower drain was blocked and overflowed, and the air conditioning didn’t work. I’d steer clear.

I first came across The Manor Hotel, Kigali, online, at a time when online scams seem increasingly common, and it struck me as trustworthy and genuine. We held an international conference there for the first time, and the whole process, from planning through to the event, was smooth and stress-free. They anticipated what we needed and handled it professionally. The staff were warm, well trained, and made guests feel welcome. Their service was generous and high quality. I’d choose The Manor Hotel again for another conference or a personal trip to Kigali, and would recommend it to anyone looking for good hospitality. It felt like more than just a hotel.
