Golden Abha Almidyaf

The staff were helpful when I was planning my trip to Rijmal Almma, and the hotel is close enough to walk to some restaurants. There are also two more in the same building. I stayed for two nights; my room was spacious and clean, with a really large, comfortable bed.

The room we ended up in felt more like a supply closet than a place for guests. It was next to housekeeping storage, with dirty laundry, unwashed foams, and a strong chemical smell. There was no microwave or water heater, and the sockets didn’t work properly. I asked politely if someone could bring a water heater; a staff member agreed, but it never arrived. We’d come from Riyadh after our original hotel booking fell through, and found this place on Agoda because it was near our event. We arrived at 8:00 AM tired but hopeful, only to be given two rooms with no working AC in one. Then we were moved, and the replacement room was even more disappointing. By 11:00 AM, after an exhausting morning, we were still dealing with a room lacking basic cleanliness and comfort and service that didn’t respond. I can’t recommend it based on what happened. I hope management takes the issues seriously and improves the rooms and service.

I stay here for business each month, and told the staff I’d only stay if they could provide invoices. They said they could, but at checkout the next day, the invoice was missing my company name and VAT number. I pointed out what was missing, but the Egyptian staff member didn’t listen. I don’t find the staff trustworthy. This isn’t good.

Most of the staff were cooperative, and the parking can be tricky sometimes. When I arrived, some things were missing, so I had to insist on getting an electric kettle, trash bin, and microwave. Not a bad stay.
