The view was nice, but I couldn’t sleep with the traffic going all night or the neighbors making noise. The Wi-Fi kept freezing, and it felt like internet was the only service. I wish we could have cleaned the place up ourselves, but it was dirty. The bathroom floor stayed covered in water, the toilet seat was broken, there was no soap, and the bed was yellow and dirty. I even found a spoon and a potato under the sofa. We bought Dettol, but the water turned black. The door was difficult to close, and the elevator shut off while I was in it. There was a window between our room and the hallway that someone outside could open to see us, and we couldn’t close it. When we left, there was someone inside our room, with his leg showing. They didn’t provide slippers, hand soap, a sink, an oven, or a kettle. I also heard that mice were in some rooms but not others. The Ministry of Tourism had put an evacuation order on the building. There was a cat in the building, and the worker was watching it but not paying attention to it. There were no parking spaces. I also wrote that there were no glucose sensors on my back. If I could give less than one star, I’d call this place garbage.

The way the Egyptian employee and even the apartment owner treated us was very bad. The apartment itself was completely dirty and not fit to live in, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The soundproofing was unbelievably poor. On my first day back from a trip, I couldn’t sleep because of construction next door, and I complained to reception when I woke up in the afternoon. The TV didn’t work at all either. My one-bedroom apartment cost 150 riyals, which may be a reasonable price, but there were no windows anywhere in the bedroom, living room, or bathroom, so you couldn’t tell day from night. Many of the bulbs were burned out, and the bathroom had no slippers or hand soap. I don’t know why the owner hasn’t looked after the place or renovated it. It’s terrible. If you’re spending over 200 riyals a day on a place to stay, look elsewhere. I’d only consider renting here in a one-off emergency.

I walked in and walked right back out because of the smell. It was like stepping into laborers’ housing. 😷

I reported the property to the Tourism Authority. Cockroaches were everywhere in the hotel, including inside and outside the fridge, as the video shows. It’s like a sheep pen.
