The only thing that was good was the cleaning. The room itself was just okay, but the heater didn’t work at all, which is quite necessary here, and the uneven bed made for an uncomfortable night. There was nothing in the kitchen apart from a noisy fridge. The staff weren’t professional, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

There’s plenty of parking, and the front desk staff were cooperative. The place was neat and clean, and free Wi-Fi was available. It isn’t on the main road: before the traffic signal, you need to take a sharp right up a steep ramp to reach the entrance. They don’t provide free water, and there may be no towels because of COVID. Still, I had a nice experience.

The reception staff were friendly enough and helped when I asked, though they didn’t go out of their way. Communication was difficult because they didn’t speak English. The rooms looked dated and pretty sad, and there were no towels, dishes, or silverware, although there was a full-size fridge. The location is far from the city center and isn’t very good. Like the city as a whole, this was a disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place or Al Baha more generally.
