Al Baron Palace Al Khobar

The surroundings are quiet and peaceful, and it’s very close to the Corniche. For the budget, this is a decent apartment in Khobar, with rooms that work well for a short visit. The washroom feels a little small. It’s a furnished apartment only, so there’s no food provided, but lots of options are just a few minutes’ walk away.

The studio was a good size for me, my wife and my son. Parking was the downside, as there wasn’t enough space and I had to leave my car on the street. They also didn’t give us the wifi password at check-in. There’s room for improvement.

I stayed for 2 days, and the service was good. The first room smelled a bit, but they turned on the exhaust and it was fine afterward. They brought us 2 extra mattress and sheets for free. The air conditioners worked well throughout the apartment. Free wifi worked well in some rooms but was below average in others because of signal issues. The satellite TV wasn’t working. We asked for hot water and they sent an electric kettle, which was really nice. There’s plenty of parking beneath the building and around it. The kitchen had a proper stove, fridge, basic utensils and cookware, plus a washing machine so you can do laundry yourself. Almost all rooms have a balcony view. Nearby are places to eat Pakistani Asian food and fast food. It was a good experience overall, though room service needs to improve a lot, and housekeeping should do better.

It was my first time staying here, and I was very disappointed. The place was dirty, the water heater didn’t work, the exhaust fan was very noisy, and there was a bad odor. I hope management does something about these problems, or they’ll lose guests like me.
