Mr Mahmoud was caring and hospitable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, well kept, and good value. Kids and adults can use the swimming pool, and the beach was OK. It’s a nice spot for children and for a barbecue night out. The boat ride to Jabal Al Lith island is one to add to your bucket list.

The hotel said the whale sharks hadn’t arrived yet, though they expected them around the end of March. Their whale shark tours for weekends in April 2025 were already full. We were checking out the boat trips, which can be arranged through the hotel. A smaller boat for 8 people costs 1175 SAR for four hours, and a room is around 450 SAR per night.

The rooms and the hotel itself are really nice, and we got a warm welcome. Everything provided was fine for a weekend. A kettle in the room would be a welcome addition, so you could make tea or coffee before those early diving trips. Thank you, and hope to see you soon!

The location is a long way from the cities, and the rooms were dusty, with a dirty bathroom too. The other things were good.
