The view of the Haram from the room was amazing, and Mr Muotaz and Mr Mumin were especially friendly and easy to talk to. A few staff members needed time to understand requests, so patience and a follow-up sometimes helped. I did find hair on the sheet on the first day, and the room cleaning could be better. Apart from that, everything was fine and I had a pleasant stay in Madinah.

The one thing going for Al Mukhtara Diamond is that Masjid Nabawi is within walking distance. But there are better hotels even closer, at the same or lower prices, so the location doesn't make up for the rest. I paid 400 SAR a night and felt the stay wasn't worth even 40 SAR. I'd booked for my family, and it was a major disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it, even for a short stay. The triple room was so cramped that getting around was extremely difficult. Three beds were squeezed into what felt like a small single room, with barely any floor space. There was no window, and the poor ventilation made the room feel suffocating. It was dusty and poorly maintained, while the tiny old toilet was not properly clean. The room's hygiene fell below even basic standards. Getting drinking water was a problem too. I asked twice around 7 PM and still didn't get any. When I asked again the next morning, I was told to come back at 9 and collect it. I ended up going out and paying extra to buy water myself. That showed very little basic hospitality or care for guests. Check-in was slow, disorganized, and badly handled. This was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had.

I stayed for around two weeks in DECEMBER and had a smooth stay. Just don't expect a 5* hotel experience. It felt more like a Bed & Breakfast for European and USA travellers, with a clean room and a spot close to Haram, so it's best to keep expectations in check. My first room was on the 5th floor, with three beds, and was clean and well equipped. After rain in Madinah, water started coming through the ceiling by the entrance, so they moved me to the 9th floor. The room had a TV, tea and coffee with a kettle, a safe, and a mini fridge. There were large bottles of shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. Each morning they brought plenty of bottled water, tissues, and toilet paper to every room. The stay went well apart from the fact that Customer Service is almost Non Existent in Saudi 🇸🇦.

Don't book this expecting a luxury five-star stay. It's more like a reliable Bed & Breakfast for visitors from Europe/USA, where you're mainly getting a clean, practical room near the Haram. Set your expectations for the location and basics, not lavish service or amenities. I stayed two nights in December 2025 and had a positive, comfortable experience. My first room, on the 5th floor, was spacious and clean, with three beds, a TV, tea and coffee facilities, a safe, and a mini-fridge. The bathroom had large bottles of shampoo and shower gel. Each morning, housekeeping left plenty of bottled water, tissues, and toilet paper, which was a useful touch. Customer service standards in the region can be limited, but the stay itself was smooth.

What made us feel especially welcome was Hishaam, the hotel manager. He was easy to approach, shared useful information, and showed real care in his kind gestures. His warmth and professionalism stood out throughout our stay. Al Mokhtara Diamond Hotel was comfortable and well maintained. Masjid-e-Nabawi was only a 3-4 minute walk away, which made our time in Madinah convenient and peaceful. I had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Madinah.
