Al Nabarees Al Macy Hotel

The manager was pleasant and accommodating, and the rate was reasonable. The outside view was good too. However, the rooms were only partly maintained and the quality was subpar, with no basic items like towels. Wi-Fi was painfully slow and unstable, and getting in and out of the location was particularly inconvenient.

We booked two rooms online for 113 riyals each, but were charged about 126 per room. Despite having a reservation, we arrived to find the hotel full and no rooms ready. We waited a couple of hours while guests checked out whenever they felt like it. Checkout is at 11, but some were leaving at 5 pm, and the hotel did nothing to get late guests to leave. The service was completely terrible. When we finally got a room, it smelled of pee, feces, and musty mildew. The sheets were damp and smelled funny. The TV didn't work, which was fine since we don't watch it, but I'm mentioning it anyway. We asked for rooms that weren't part of a salon, and that's exactly what they gave us. If I could rate it below one star, I would. Don't stay here.

There was no room service, and the hotel doesn't have its own restaurant. The staff weren't polite, and although Wi-Fi was available, it wouldn't connect. Water from the AC leaked onto the bed, so I couldn't sleep all night. The bathtub was dirty, with small insects coming out of cracks in it. I don't recommend this hotel. There are better options.

The beds are good, and the electricity and air conditioning work well. There's free Wi-Fi, and the location is great. The rooms could use a little more care. The price is somewhat reasonable, though it was higher than on my past stays, probably because of seasonal variation. They don't take card payments on site, even though the door says MADA card payment is accepted.
