Andalus Habitat Hotel

We were charged 240 SAR for breakfast, then got the rest of our stay refunded. I’d give two stars for the service because they did refund us. We left less than an hour after arriving because the hotel was dirty. I sat on a couch and had bites within 20 minutes. The floors and bathrooms were filthy, and the beds were filthy too. It could be a lovely place if it were kept clean and maintained. They didn’t seem surprised that we wanted to leave, as if this happens often.

The suites are nice, but the hotel felt abandoned, short staffed, uncomfortable and very dirty. At first it seemed fine, then by the next day we were seeing serious problems: roaches in the room, mold around the vents, and dirt dropping from the vents onto the beds. There were lots of insects, possibly because of the pool outside. I left my suitcase open overnight and found bugs inside it, and woke up with bites and rashes. The food was cold, choices were very limited, and items weren’t properly restocked. The vents and interior need a thorough cleaning, along with major maintenance. I believe there’s an infestation, and I don’t feel safe staying another day.

The central location made it easy to get around the city, but the room’s unpleasant smell affected our comfort. It may have been from water seepage. Breakfast was okay, though the options were limited. With maintenance and care, this place could be much better.

Saleh at reception made my stay so much easier. He was professional and showed the care and hospitality Saudi Arabia is known for. I had an amazing stay and highly recommend this place.
