Aster Hotel

The bathroom was a big problem: it wasn't clean, there was only one towel for the whole family in a plastic bag, and there were no proper toiletries or soap holders. At check-in we were asked to pay the full amount upfront, and the first room offered was poor enough that we had to move to a smaller one. Staff had limited English, which made communication difficult. The in-room coffee and tea setup was also poor, just loose tea bags and paper cups. There was no iron available, so we had to use the laundry service.

We paid for breakfast as part of the booking, and even showed the reservation listing all four of us, but staff only allowed two people to eat. We asked three times for more towels and never received any, even though the bathroom had just one hand towel. The room was infested with cockroaches. An absolute waste of money.

The management were patient and helpful, answering our questions whenever we needed. It's a really comfortable hotel with very good service, and a very good choice overall.

This is an older hotel trying to keep up its standards, but the bathrooms need renovation. There were no towels in the room. When I asked, I got one towel for two people, and had to ask again for another.
