Golden New Alsafa

The AC in the room was leaking water, and nobody did anything after I complained. The staff were very bad, especially the receptionist. The worst experience ever.

The bathroom wasn’t very clean, and there were stains on the bed. The room description also listed several things that weren’t there: a washing machine, drying rack, dining table and area, ironing facilities, seating area, microwave, and iron. The washing machine was my main concern. Reception said they could provide one if I wanted, so I said yes, after I’d had a little rest. But when I checked the bathroom, there wasn’t anywhere to put it. I went down to speak with the manager, Idris. He said my booked room didn’t include a washing machine, but they could bring one and I’d have to fill it with water and drain it into the bathtub. I showed him the website description and said that didn’t seem practical or professional. They offered a bigger room if I wanted one, and I agreed, but then he provided neither the room nor the washing machine. I had to use an outside laundry twice. I showed Idris the receipt, he took a picture, and I asked who would cover the 98 riyals I’d paid. They didn’t respond. I told them I wouldn’t forgive what they’d done and that it wasn’t right. I contacted booking more than once, and they said the hotel hadn’t replied. I don’t recommend this hotel at all. They treated me badly and didn’t care about the guest.

The receptionists and other staff were helpful and pleasant, and the room was spacious for an affordable price. Its location seemed like a good deal for getting to the airport and tourist spots. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, though, and the Wi-Fi was the worst part of the stay.

Getting there from the highway was convenient. I stayed with my family in a double room that was neat, clean, and well maintained. The bed was cozy and clean, and the washroom was clean with a geyser attached. Highly recommended.
