Sunday Emerald Hotel

After more than a decade of staying in different hotels in Jeddah, I found this one to be the best. It’s a lovely, cozy hotel in a prime part of the beautiful city, with friendly staff, good facilities, and a clean environment. The price is affordable for a place this nice. I’ve had problems with leaking washrooms at many hotels that call themselves good, and they didn’t do anything about it. I had no such issue here, or at one other hotel. I had a great stay. The kids loved the clean, well-kept pool, and we enjoyed the delicious Iftar buffet with its wide choice of dishes. We always stay at Emerald Hotel for Eid vacations in Jeddah, and it never lets us down. Our family finds the Ruby Suite spacious and comfortable, and the friendly, attentive staff make the stay pleasant. It feels like a second home, and we’re looking forward to coming back next Eid.

The rooms were spacious, which was the only good part of our stay. I’m very dissatisfied and won’t come back. There were lots of small issues, and the customer service was zero. My family booked a family suite and a double bed room for three days, checking in on 5th Oct and checking out on 8th Oct. Neither room had hot water for bathing. The tap water was freezing, not even warm. We asked reception for compensation, but none was offered. The manager was called and said there would be no compensation and nothing they could do. We went back and forth, asking for some compensation or at least one day of breakfast, which seemed fair given the lack of hot water. They finally offered to move us, but only on our second day, 7th Oct, when we were leaving around 3am on 8th Oct, despite checkout being at 12pm. With all our luggage and packing, moving rooms then wasn’t practical. We called reception about five times. They kept saying they’d send maintenance, but nobody came. The place was dirty as well. The swimming pool glass looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year, and the bathroom bin was broken and wouldn’t open. I don’t recommend it.

Anwar at reception made my stay especially smooth. He was helpful, professional, always smiling 😂❤️, and went out of his way to take care of what I needed. He’s really good with customers. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with great facilities and a location close to everything I might need. I had an excellent experience and recommend it. I’ll stay here whenever I’m in Jeddah 👌
