It wasn't as described on booking.com. There was no tissue paper in the room, and although I asked for a smoking room, there was no ashtray when I checked in. The furniture is very old and needs maintenance, room service is very bad, the restaurants aren't operating, and there's no laundry service. I wouldn't recommend it. You can get better service for less. 😡😡😡😡

The staff were extremely nice overall, and they even upgraded our room while trying to address the noise. It didn't help, unfortunately. Like many Arab hotels, this one was extremely noisy for a European. One receptionist was the exception: after we raised the noise issue, she charged us much more than the booking price.

The staff did what they could to help. They arranged adjoining rooms for my family, which the front desk deserves credit for, and we checked out late without a penalty.

For the price, the room was good enough, and it was quiet enough for me to sleep well. In the afternoon, though, light still comes in through the window, so it may not suit someone who can't sleep with light. Still good overall 👍🏻

A good place to stay at a cheap price, in my opinion. The room was very nice and clean, and the counter staff were good and spoke English fluently.
