The S Hotel

The front desk quickly refunded the three unused nights after we had prepaid for five and left after two. That was handled well. Otherwise, the accommodation felt in line with its price, and I'd have rated it three stars if the online photos of the property hadn't seemed so misleading. My impressions were that maintenance is lacking and the construction looks embarrassing, without proper standards. It seems the hotel may have been bought recently as a fixer-upper. Photos in other reviews showing buffets look dishonest to me. There is no restaurant or coffee house at the hotel; perhaps those pictures were from its better days, but they don't show the current conditions. On Tuesday around 5 AM, someone in room 503 woke us by yelling, then the ‘school’ next door shouted over a public address system for about an hour. The recent 4- and 5-star reviews also seem questionable, assuming the reviewers are real and know what a 5-star property looks like.
