Aseel Hotel Apartment

I was exhausted after nearly 28 hours of travel and had only slept about two hours the previous night. The room had no towels, which was strange, and the one they brought me was really dirty. The whole situation left me asking, was this fair? My company had booked and paid for a room at Deauville Inn Sabya, including pickup. I was coming from Spain and didn’t know the city. A driver holding a sign with my name met me at 2:00 am, drove for an hour, and helped me with my bags at the hotel. Reception already had my details, checked my passport and how long I’d stay, then gave me a key. A little later they called me back downstairs and said my company hadn’t paid, so I’d have to pay if I wanted to return to my room. I showed the booking and proof of delivery, but they kept insisting. Since it was 3 am and I was worn out, I asked my boss in Spain to pay them if that was the case. The next morning I called a taxi to my hotel. The driver messaged me to come outside, though I was already there, then asked me to send my location on WhatsApp. He said I had the wrong hotel. When I left work after a long day, someone asked me for the hotel name. I checked the receipt from the previous day and saw it was a different place, a 2* hotel called 'Aseel Hotel Apartment Sabya'. I asked the manager why I was staying there. He said they were the same chain and that he’d only received a message requesting a room, without a specific hotel. He also said they hadn’t been paid yet.

The receptionist is honest and nice, and the service is good. The room was clean too.

We had to switch rooms because the ACs were broken. There also wasn’t enough parking. On top of that, a loud party in one room after midnight woke the whole hotel, and the staff couldn’t stop it. Terrible experience 👎

The staff are friendly, and the room is okay if you like strong AC. The unit is bigger than the room itself, though, and the signal in the room was poor.
