The staff were kind and helpful, and getting to Al Haram was easy. It’s under 1 km away, and there’s a shuttle bus too. Just make sure breakfast is included when you book. Otherwise it costs 65 royal per person, and the options are pretty basic, more like a continental breakfast.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the reception staff treated me warmly. Special thanks to mr Adham, mrs Semiha, and mr Sheirad. The hotel sits on a hill, so walking down to the haram is easy. Coming back uphill is harder, though, and takes roughly 15-20mins.

The atmosphere was usually pretty quiet, and the staff interactions were fine. What made Emaar work well for me was being close to the Haram, which made it much easier to attend prayers. It seems like a suitable place for pilgrims or anyone on a short religious visit.

The hotel and the shared areas were super clean, and walking to Masjid Al Haram took about 15 minutes. The return is a tough uphill climb and takes a lot of fitness. There is a shuttle, but it can be crowded and slow. Breakfast was absolutely zero for me. Local restaurants have better options.

The road down to the masjid is sloped, so walking there is easy. Coming back, you can catch any bus at the bus station behind the clock tower, about 3-5 mins on foot, and ask the driver to drop you opposite the hotel. You don’t need to wait for a particular hotel bus. There are buses around all the time, and people staying in Ajyaj often do this. It’s about 15 mins to the clock tower building at a normal walking pace, not tiring on the way down. I got a clean, nice room with a clock tower view, good service, and a buffet breakfast that changed every day and had a surprising amount of variety. Alhumdulillah, I paid around 150 sr in low season, and I was really pleased with the food, taste, and price.
