Afaq Al Eiman Hotel ex Hayah Al Eiman

The lobby representative was no help and didn’t seem concerned about what we needed. There was no phone or intercom in the room, and no room service, which made things worse. The room was dirty and poorly maintained, and the AC didn’t work. Even after we complained, the staff refused to fix it, so we spent the whole night without AC and were extremely uncomfortable. The service was unacceptable, and the owner or management needs to take immediate action on the conditions and staff behavior. We changed hotels first thing in the morning after one night.

I booked through Booking.com for three days, but housekeeping never came even once without repeated reminders. The room wasn’t cleaned daily. When we asked reception for cleaning, it only happened after Asar, and then only after following up several times. The reception staff had a poor attitude, and housekeeping acted like they were doing us a big favor. They also ignored our requests for fresh towels, so despite several reminders we used the same ones throughout the stay. It felt clear that the hotel cares more about large group bookings, which are more profitable, than individual families. I wouldn’t recommend it for families or anyone expecting decent service. It might suit large groups looking for low-budget accommodation who don’t expect cleanliness or customer service.

The room was good and clean, and the toilet was good too. The location is on a main road, and a taxi to Masjed Alnabawy costs 10 Riyals. But the AC was very noisy, and the beds made sounds. There was no phone in the room, so we had to go down to reception, where staff were unprofessional and rarely helpful. We went three days without housekeeping and had to ask many times to get basic essentials or any service.

I’d seen some earlier reviews that made me nervous, but my stay was positive. The room was tidy, clean, and comfortable, and the reception hall smelled great. The receptionist was very kind and upgraded me to a deluxe family suite, even though I’d booked two rooms.
