Al Madinah Golden Hotel

The beds were really comfortable, and the washroom was clean. The AC kept the whole room cool in the heat, too. Since the hotel was near masjid al nabawi, my mother could easily go to the masjid and come back to the hotel to rest.

The bathrooms were extremely dirty, and getting the room cleaned was hit or miss. One time I called to ask for cleaning and was told not to call again. The receptionists weren't helpful, and the staff spoke very rudely. This is the worst hotel I have ever visited. I could say more, but I won't. Extremely disappointing.

The location is in a beautiful city, but this hotel made our Madina stay miserable. It wasn't cheap, and there are plenty of other options, so I can't recommend booking here. We stayed seven nights and often came back after fajr to sleep until dhur salaah. During our first night, the faulty smoke alarm kept bringing staff to our door every 30 mints to check for a fire, even though there wasn't one. Later, maintenance started on our floor after four nights. Workers were drilling and hammering early in the morning without warning. I called reception because I couldn't sleep, and they said there was nothing they could do. Not once in those seven nights did room service come to clean or change the bedsheet. The toilet smelled disguisting, and the receptionists and other staff were rude and seemed not to care. I also raised the problems with the operational manager called Hammad, but all I got was an apology. Please think twice before staying here.

It's just 10 steps from Masjid Nabwi, which is excellent. The room was too small, and the service was just ok.
