I’m sorry to give a hotel in holy Madeena just one star, but my son and I had a really bad experience. The room had cigarette smoke in it, no windows, and noise coming from the neighboring room. We slept with masks on for about three hours, then left by 3:30 AM even though we’d paid and had arrived late at night. Staff didn’t provide towels when we asked. The room conditions felt unhealthy, so we left as soon as we could. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were very rude and didn’t properly listen to our complaints. The bed was dusty, and neither the room card lock nor the safe locker worked. There were no towels, water bottle, or toilet tissue in the room. When I asked for towels, the service guy said they were in the laundry and would be given to us once they came back. Think twice before booking here.

We had to climb the stairs to get to our rooms because the lift could only hold 50 people, while the hotel can accommodate 200. The fridge wasn’t working at all. We asked staff to replace it, but nobody came even after five reminders. The staff were very rude and uncooperative. I’ll be making a complaint to the Ministry of Hajj.

The food was not good, and the hospitality was a complete zero. The washrooms weren’t cleaned, there was no room service, and the blankets stank and didn’t seem to be washed between visitors. No washroom supplies were provided either. I can’t give zero stars, so this gets one, though it deserves a big zero.

Average overall. It takes 17 minutes to walk to haram. The room and mess were not very clean, just average. The prayer area was good, but ablution had to be done in the washroom. The rooms and mess area need better cleaning.
