Saja By Warwick Madinah Hotel

The room keys kept failing, so we had to make several trips to reception. Cleanliness was also disappointing: there was visible dirt circulating in the shower water, mold and rust around the bathroom, and the floors still felt dusty after room service. We were given a handicapped room with a badly set up shower and no proper barrier or curtain. Each time we showered, water spread across the bathroom and leaked into the room. We reported it and asked for help and extra towels to keep our belongings dry, but nothing was done. The food was another major letdown. I've stayed in 3-star hotels with much better quality and variety, and poor meals and accommodation made an already physically demanding Hajj trip harder than it needed to be. My husband and I did get a room right away when we arrived, and the reception staff were generally kind, but that was about where the positives ended. For a hotel advertised as 5-star and tied to Hajj package prices, this did not meet the expected standard. Alhamdulilah, we're grateful we could perform Hajj, but this wasn't a 5-star experience.

The food was a highlight of our stay, and the chef was so nice and accommodating. You can tell he cares about guests eating well. Room service was excellent too, prompt and attentive, and made sure we had what we needed. Obaid Allah also deserves a heartfelt thank you. His professionalism, warm hospitality, and great attitude left a lasting impression. We were even welcomed with a lovely party, a thoughtful gesture that made us feel at home right away. From beginning to end, staying at Saja Al Madinah hotel was an incredible experience. For comfort and hospitality in Saudi Arabia, this was a great place to stay.

The shuttle bus running for every prayer was useful, but I had a bad experience with saja hotel during Hajj season. We waited a long time to get into our rooms because the Hajj organizers were disorganized. I think the hotel should help manage that too, rather than leave guests waiting. I was on the 7th floor and often had to allow 5 10 minutes just to get an elevator going down. Meal times were on different schedules, so my wife and I couldn't always eat together, which didn't make sense for us. In a 5-star hotel, I expected reception staff to be more polite and try to satisfy customers. Honestly, it didn't feel like a 5-star hotel. My wife was sharing a room with four people. Another woman asked housekeeping to come in, and they entered while my wife was asleep. When I raised it with reception, they said this was normal and there was nothing they could do. Their instruction is to enter when requested, but during Hajj people may not know their roommates. In my opinion, they should be told not to enter while anyone is inside.

We had a really enjoyable meal. There was plenty of variety, and the food was delicious, with flavors that surprisingly suited Malaysian tastes even though it wasn't Malaysian cuisine. Sarwar was friendly and attentive at the restaurant, and his service was excellent.
