Al Muhaidb Al Takhassosi Abaqrino

The location is great, close to restaurants, shops, and other places, and that’s the only reason I’d recommend this hotel. Management was acceptable, but there were no English-speaking staff, which made communication difficult. The room was OK, but during my stay there was no cleaning or maintenance, and even the towels weren’t changed. Breakfast was very simple with few choices. The gym equipment, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi weren’t working at all. There’s only the poolside, where you have to stay in one spot because it’s so small.

The staff were friendly, but that couldn’t make up for the problems during my stay. The pillows were rock hard, like bricks, and I couldn’t get a peaceful night’s sleep. Breakfast was tasteless and unappetizing, a disappointing start to the day. Room service was just as bad. After my shower, I asked for the bathroom to be cleaned. I was away for several hours, but it was still untouched when I got back. They eventually cleaned it the next day but forgot to replace the towel, so I had only one for the rest of my stay. There wasn’t a hand towel in the room either. The issues made the hotel feel poorly managed, with a lack of staff training and supervision.

I checked in at night after my flight journey and wanted to shower, but there was no towel. Reception said they didn’t have any available and kept telling me to wait. I was left waiting to shower. What kind of hotel doesn’t have a spare towel? Horrible hotel.

The only thing I liked was that there are eateries close by. That’s why I’m giving it 2 points, which still feels too generous. I stayed here for 4 days, three nights, and wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone. It doesn’t feel safe, either, because there’s a gap in the door where people can see in. Nobody seems to care about guests. No one speaks English, and even after I asked, nobody brought toilet paper or water during my stay. That felt rude. The manager was always on the phone playing games and had no time to look at you. The price is far too high for the service. Breakfast was substandard, with very few options, and they didn’t refill dishes when they ran out, so we had to wait a long time. The toilet flooded like a pond and took 2 days to dry, leaving the bathroom wet the whole time. They charge 100 SAR for an airport ride when Upet is only 65 SAR. This is not the 5 star hotel they claim it is, it’s a 1 star hotel.
