AL Rahden Hotel

The breakfast was the one part that felt below the hotel’s standard. It was acceptable, but I expected better quality and more choices for a place this nice. Still, I had a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and looked after, and the staff were polite and welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxing, and I felt comfortable there. The location also made it easy to get to the places I wanted to visit. I’d consider returning, especially if they improve the breakfast.

The laundry service was supposed to take eight hours, but my clothes still weren’t back after more than a day. At reception, the staff member spoke little English and sent me to a nearby laundry shop that wasn’t connected to the hotel. After some confusion and help in Arabic, I eventually got assistance, though the staff still seemed unsure how their laundry process worked. Breakfast was very basic for a four-star place, and the coffee was disappointing, so bring your own if you care about good coffee. The hotel name is only shown in Arabic, which made it hard to find on Google Maps or explain to a taxi driver. Getting around was more frustrating than it needed to be. My first room had a door that wouldn’t lock, wardrobe doors that didn’t open far enough to reach the drawers, broken air conditioning, and a window facing a brick wall. I asked to move. The next room was better, but the air conditioning still had no usable temperature control, either blowing cold air nonstop or not working. I stayed recently and was disappointed, particularly for a hotel claiming four stars. In practice, the facilities and service don’t match that rating. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially to European travelers.

The room was spacious, and the toilet looked luxurious, but I wouldn’t stay more than two nights. The reception looks poor and the service there doesn’t match the rest of the hotel. At check-in, the receptionist was on the phone while speaking with me, and another time nobody was at the desk. The balcony is boxed in by walls about two meters high on every side, the window coverings were dirty, and the area was quite noisy. The airport is about a 25-minute drive away.

Mr Khalid alonizi got us checked in quickly and was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is amazing, with elegant decor, and everything felt clean and luxurious. 🤩👍🏻
