Cristal Amaken Hotel

I was here for a business trip from 6th January to 8th January, and the stay was very pleasant. The cleaning staff were professional and kept the rooms in excellent condition. I also really enjoyed the restaurant meals, which were very tasty and high quality. The rooms and overall environment were comfortable and well maintained, and the reception team and other staff were friendly. My one small issue was that calls from my room to reception went unanswered three to four times. Aside from that, everything was very good. I'd recommend it, especially for business trips.

The airport transfer charge was another problem. I was billed about $85.00 for a service I never used, and staff couldn't say who had booked it. The front desk even said they had no proof of who arranged it, but I still had to pay. My booking clearly said Bill to Company, but reception asked for the full amount upfront because they couldn't confirm the arrangement. I was fine paying since I get reimbursed. Later, they searched the email for grammatical mistakes to argue the instruction wasn't clear, though it said Invoice to xxxx company. They blamed bad English. I went to the desk at 8:15 am to get the final invoices before leaving for the airport at 9:00. The manager on duty took over 75 minutes to prepare the invoice and answer questions, and I missed my flight. Meanwhile, six foreign guests were kept waiting more than 30 minutes to check in. The manager's hands were trembling, they didn't know what answer to give, there was no supervisor on duty, and they went back and forth to the back office at least eight times. Still, the answer was that they didn't know who ordered the transfer but I had to pay. I've never had service this poor at an Arab hotel in my 22 years of experience. The front desk executives were extremely unprofessional and couldn't answer simple questions. The worst front desk I've seen in the hotel industry. I'm definitely not coming back.

The Wi-Fi is so bad it's impossible to work here. Every time I stay, I end up using my phone's connection instead. You'd think they'd have a better system by 2026.

It's a quiet, comfortable place with a good atmosphere and plenty of parking. There's an on-site restaurant, free Wi-Fi, a gym, a swimming pool, and laundry service. Family-friendly too.
