Dome Hotel Al Orouba

The location was handy, near supermarkets and restaurants, and it was easy to get a taxi. During my nearly nine months there, from June 2015 to the end of March 2016, room maintenance depended on asking, but the room was very neat once done. Food could also be brought to the door on request, at extra cost. The internet was really poor. We repeatedly asked staff to reset the router, and it became a real pain. The furniture, including the bed, needed replacing. I recently checked OYO's long-stay prices, but seeing photos of the same old furniture made me decide it wasn't worth paying for the same things again. My friend and I left at the end of March 2016 because one staff member treated us very rudely. Management did nothing about him. He didn't know how to speak to staff, or even smile. Imagine a robot standing at reception 😂😂😂, that's what he was like. I ask management to improve the building and furniture, and to give customers value for their money. They shouldn't keep trying to make do with old furniture. I've lost interest in returning.

The hotel is in a good central spot. Staff were friendly and had the right attitude, and the basic breakfast was included. Call and they'll bring it to your room quickly. WiFi was included too, though it didn't reach the reception area. It's part of an international Indian hotel chain, but English was limited. I asked for a monthly rental quote and never got an answer. My room smelled of cigarette smoke.

The view was nice, and the hotel sits beside the road with amenity shops nearby. It was a pleasant stay in a quiet setting, and the staff could speak Arabic and English for foreign guests. The prices were affordable. Four stars from me.

The included breakfast was okay, and the single room itself was average. But the shower and bathroom were squeezed into a very small space, which wasn't comfortable at all. Customer service was terrible, so I wouldn't recommend this place to my coworkers.
