Just to clear my conscience: these were once among the fanciest apartments I’d stayed in, but now they’re the worst and most unpleasant. There were bad smells throughout the apartments, the Egyptian receptionist was extremely poor, and he seemed to set prices himself, adding a few riyals depending on the customer so no one would notice. I first got a room with a kitchen and bathroom, then moved to a room with just a bathroom for the same price. All the bathrooms smelled bad, and the bed wasn’t comfortable. Sadly, this will be my last time staying in these apartments.

I enjoyed my stay overall. I booked a room and lounge, and the reception was excellent. The Egyptian staff were responsive and helpful, though I didn’t ask their names. The bathroom was small, and a cooking smell spread through the room. I couldn’t tell whether it came from the hotel or nearby restaurants. Thanks to the management of Marine Suites.

It’s a decent hotel if you have work nearby, and it was clean, though the smell of smoke was a drawback. I called in the afternoon to ask about an apartment and was quoted 468 for the night. When I arrived late at night, the employee said it would be 496 and claimed the day employee couldn’t have given me that price. The original amount turned out to be right, but the night employee didn’t know about it.

What stands out is that check-out is after sunset. The apartments are clean, service is quick, and the price is reasonable too. May God reward and bless them.
