Novotel Suites Riyadh Dyar

The staff were attentive and polite, and the location made it easy to walk to nearby cafes and shops. Our room was comfortable, had a good view, and came with all the amenities we needed. We had a wonderful stay at Sunday Hotel Al Olaya and would come back.

When I got there at 7 p.m., my room wasn't ready. I was told it could take another 20 minutes. The bathroom floor was flooded, and there was no water, soap, or toilet paper. Even the fresh towels had someone else's hair on them. The place felt old and dirty. The Booking.com address sent me to the wrong place on Google Maps, so be careful with that. I understand now why it's called “formerly Novotel”: it doesn't meet Novotel standards, and I'm surprised it was ever part of the brand. A one-time experience for me, and not a good one. I can't see how it has four stars. In my view, two at most.

The room felt very cramped, and there was a bad smell with no proper room service. The location was okay, though restaurants were far away. They only give you a 330 ml bottle of water and won't provide more, even if you ask, so plan for that. I won't comment on the food.

I had already booked and paid through Booking.com, but when I arrived, they said there was no room for me because the hotel was fully booked. They refused to refund the money, citing the booking policy. Be careful, I wouldn't recommend it.
