The price is reasonable, and this is honestly one of the cleanest apartments I’ve stayed in.

These apartments used to be called Durar Al-Bunduqiyah (Pearls of Venice), then moved to Riyadh, and are now called Al-Asima (Capital). The kitchen is run-down, the bathrooms are awful, and the room doors are broken. I could perhaps understand those conditions if the owner doesn’t have the budget for repairs and renovations right now. But there’s no excuse for the lack of cleaning or the cockroaches in the bathrooms. Cleanliness is basic, affects health and safety, and costs nothing. The apartments aren’t cleaned, which suggests bad management, indifference, or a lack of respect for guests. I don’t understand how the Tourism Authority allows apartments that aren’t cleaned to be rented.
