Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh Al Sahafa

The lobby and coffee bar by the entrance were a pleasant surprise, with a great atmosphere. The outside of the hotel didn’t look like much, but inside was different. My room was modern, beautifully decorated, and extremely clean. Breakfast was the highlight for me, one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in Saudi and well worth including with your stay. Parking was a problem from the start. We arrived just before check-in, found no spaces in front, and were told about underground parking, but couldn’t locate it. We ended up parking on the street beside the hotel, so the hotel should improve the parking directions. Check-in was disappointing too: the two women at reception seemed uninterested and moved very slowly. The front desk service wasn’t great, so don’t expect much attention on arrival.

Belal and Safaa were with us from beginning to end on our wedding day, helping calmly and making things easy. Howaida was also wonderful, quick to respond, patient, professional, and always around when we needed her. The hotel team’s support made our special day even better, and we’re grateful to everyone who shared in our happiness. One thing that could be improved for big events like weddings is delivery pickup. When we ordered from outside, we had to go downstairs to collect it ourselves. That’s difficult for the bride and groom’s family while they’re getting ready with hair and makeup done.

There was a day with a power outage, and the internet and Wi-Fi seemed to have trouble afterward. One morning, no water came from the taps, and when it did run, the warm water took a long time to heat up. Apart from those problems, it was a good stay. The room was comfortable, the lighting was good, and it blocked noise well.

The food had lots of options and was great, and everyone was friendly. The gym was good too. Ashutosh Majumder, the gym instructor, was one of the best workers in my opinion, very nice and helpful. One of my best experiences in Saudi, on my fifth visit. 👌🏼
