Saudia Hotel

We had a terrible experience, and I won't stay here again. The room was unbelievably tiny, and the floor was so dirty it seemed to need machine cleaning. On the bed I saw three clotted drops of blood, as well as an insect crawling around. I picked it up with a tissue and showed the receptionist as proof. Seeing both blood and a bug on the same bed was disgusting. The elevator was extremely narrow and malfunctioned throughout our use. Its door hit me hard each time, both when I entered and when I tried to get out. The light went off inside and wouldn't work, then came on after a while. The elevator reached the floor, but the door closed quickly and hit my body again. For all these problems, the hotel is very expensive. They don't seem to care about negative feedback or whether guests feel good or bad. I also had a big problem contacting them: they never answered emails or phone calls at any time. There isn't even a name sign at the entrance, so how is anyone supposed to know the hotel is there?

Whether this place suits you depends on what you're looking for, but an Airbnb is usually a better option. I paid 70 USD. Booking after 6 pm gets you 15 percent off, and after midnight it's 40 percent. There's no food at the hotel, and the food nearby is straight trash. It's hard to find the entrance because there's no sign. The room was decent, if not very clean, and enough to get through the night. Stay out of the pool, it's overloaded with chlorine.

The clean rooms and swimming pool make this a wonderful hotel. I gave it four stars because the rooms aren't cleaned often enough during a longer stay. We asked, but got no response.

For a very budget friendly hotel, I'd give it five stars. It's an economy place, so don't expect too much, but my room was good overall and clean enough. The bed was comfortable, and it had an iron and ironing board, a minibar ref, electric kettle, towel, telephone, and internet.
