Snood Al Narjis Hotel

I'm giving this rating because of how they handled transparency, integrity, and a returning guest. I've stayed here for over 50 nights, including a four-night visit last week. For this visit, I booked at reception last Thursday while checking out from the previous one. I only asked for the same room type with a king bed. When I arrived to check in today, they said the hotel was fully booked and assigned me a Studio King Bed. I usually pay the same rate for an Executive Suite on the 2nd or 3rd floor. When I pushed for a better room, they asked me to pay 100 SAR extra per night. I felt mistreated. They asked me for a booking reference or confirmation, though they hadn't given me one when I booked. I thought we had mutual trust, especially since they know and recognize me by now. They were ready to lose a frequent guest over 100 SAR a night. Nobody had told me when I booked that I would pay the usual Executive Suite rate but get a G floor king bed studio. It was supposedly non-smoking, but smelled like hell. Pathetic. A heads up to other repeat guests: they may spring a surprise on you at the last minute, so don't trust them. It's annoying.

The rooms are tidy, spacious, and very clean. Staff are kind and really helpful.

Close to the airport, and a good hotel if you're travelling for work.

The rooms are very spacious and good value for money, though the hotel isn't high-end. Sound insulation is poor, so you can hear people in other rooms, and the internet was horrible.
